Something we get asked a lot is: "Why do so many businesses on Facebook just share the same sort of things over and over again?" This was in relation to pages where all their posts are around one particular topic or theme but it applies to many other aspects of business pages too we've noticed. Business owners don't need to constantly post content that revolves around their products and services and they certainly need to make sure they aren't constantly promoting them either.
Over the last few months, in our research for clients and our business, we have noticed a lot of "same same" posting strategies on pages. This is where we scroll through a page and see either the same type of post (picture after picture, article after article or promo after promo) or no variation in the kind of content being shared with the followers. You'd be surprised what varying your content will do for your reach and engagement, not to mention possibly attracting new followers. The last thing you want to do is have people unfollow or unlike your page because they don't get any value from what you share. If you're stuck for content, Google is your friend but make sure you're no posting for postings sake. Make it relevant to your target market and make sure you fact check it. The last thing you need is to go in guns blazing with an opinion or article, only to find it's a hoax or joke article or (even worse) a form of propaganda. Need help with your Social Media?
